Every AFA officer or representative shall carry out her/his AFA office of appointment in a manner that gives full recognition, in connection with affairs of the AFA, to the right of union members to assemble freely, attend AFA meetings, express views, arguments and opinions, nominate candidates for AFA office, run for AFA office, and vote in AFA elections, except to the extent such rights are limited by provisions in the Constitution and Bylaws of the AFA. No AFA officer or representative shall penalize, discipline, or otherwise interfere with, or retaliate against any union members for exercising such a right in connection with the affairs of the AFA.
